Joseph Virgilio is a graduate of the University of Toronto and received his Bachelor of Laws degree from Osgoode Hall Law School.
Knowledgeable and experienced senior legal counsel, Joe practices in the areas of real estate, land development, mortgages, wills and estates, and business law.
In addition to his many years of legal practice, Joe served as an elected Trustee on the York Region Separate School Board and then as a dedicated and effective Councillor in the Town of Markham for thirteen years where he was a member of the Committee of Adjustment and a director of the Markham District Energy Board. This range and depth of experience make him a respected and sought-after advisor on real estate matters, land use planning issues and a broad range of other areas of municipal concern. Joe knows how to get things done.
Joe finds it most satisfying when he is viewed as an ongoing family legal resource bringing clients and their families peace of mind as they move through life’s stages.
Joe is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and a Director of the Canadian Italian Advocates Organization and is able to provide services in both English and Italian.
Rachel Ler focuses her practice on Real Estate, Land Development, and Wills & Estates.
She is an honours graduate from the University of Manchester where she studied Canadian, English, and European law. While attending university, she was active in the Legal Advice Centre where she helped members of the community overcome housing issues and supported tenants in rental disputes. She was a recipient of the International Honour Society Award in 2016.
Rachel joined the team at Virgilio Law following her call to the Ontario Bar in 2019. Her clients include individuals, corporations, and developers. Rachel is dedicated to providing excellent service and timely results to ensure that her clients’ interests are protected and their goals met.
